Our home

Our apartment is modern, sunny and light with large door-length windows in the bedroom and living room. There is a balcony that stretches the length of the flat that is perfect for people watching or having coffee or an aperitif on. The flat has wooden floors and is decorated with a mix of modern and antique furntiure. There is a spacious living and dining area, good size double bedroom, small study / studio, bathroom with bathtub and shower and fully equipped kitchen. We also have wifi, TV, DVD and a stereo.

Who we are

We are a professional couple in our early thirties, Joe a primary school teacher and Jenny an English teacher and collage artist. This is our first foray into house swapping. We are looking for a central flat in San Francisco for the third week of August, and after that we're open to suggestions and dates.

We live in Raval, right in the centre of Barcelona, which is a diverse, vibrant and arty area, full of pavement cafes, restaurants, bars, small theatres, cool shops, vintage shops, galleries and the MACBA modern art museum. Our street joins Barcelona's main boulevard, las Ramblas. We live 2 minutes from the famous Boqueria market. The Liceo national theatre is at the end of our street, the gothic cathedral and gothic quarter a 5 minute walk away, and the port and beach are a 15 minute walk.
