Our home

Huge, restored house in a village, pop 3,500 in unspoilt Extremadura. 50k from main regional city, Badajoz, which is on the Portuguese border, 2.5 hours from Seville airport, 3 hours and a bit from Lisbon. The house has big terraces (no pool) and all conveniences, inc. Internet. Furnished with antiques (hence reluctance to have kids). The countryside around us is mainly olives, holm oaks, corks. The town of Barcarrota has all necessary for daily living in terms of shopping. People are friendly, although only a couple speak any English. Car a possibility.
Spanish wife and Aust. husband need a couple of months in Melb to see family. Flexible, pref. autumn 2011...which is still cool-coldish here.
