Our home

This studio apartment with a great sea view balcony. If you want the sun and low maintenance it's ideal. Great for one or two people for short or long breaks in an established apartment block with really friendly reception staff (Enlish and Spanish speaking) and a private pool. It's cosy, (with TV), easy to maintain/keep clean, with weekly fresh laundry if you want this. Definitely for those who want to do little except sunbathe, walk, rest or eat at the many resturants. The studio is divided by a curtain which makes the space betwen living and sleeping feel private. The weather's usually so steadily warm and sunny you 'll sped nearly all your time on the generous balcony with great views. The beach is literally 3 to 4 minutes walk away, and beyond that there are more beaches and water sports and plenty to do if you like the sea and swimming. Inside the studio there is a sofa and English Television. The block has many nationalities. A few of the owners live permanemtly at Las Flores. The apartment is on the middle floor and in the centre of the block so its quiet and protected from the road behind the block which has numerous shops and restaurants. It is safe and we have never had any security problems. A lift take you to the pool. There are usually a mixture of all ages around the block and pool, although I have never seen more than 6 people round the pool. Good for quiet reading! This is ideal for a couple, or parent and child.

Who we are

  1. I inherited the apartment a few years ago, having been to Tenerife many times before. Currently we let the flat to friedns. It's literally a matter of picking up the key letting them know we are coming, and the beds are made and the apartment ready. I would like to swop the apartment for long term with a small property in Normandy or Brittany.

Your neighbourhood

The views from the bacony are really good. Nearby there are cafes, walks along the sea front (busy ones and quiet ones),and plenty of buses around the Island. Mount Tiede (extinct Volcano) and Puertos De La Cruz are good days out by bus or car. There are also some great walks in the foothills of the Tiede Volcano. A day's visit to Tiede and the cable car journey to the top is well worth doing. It's a good base for exploring Tenerife and nearby Gomera Island. Located only 25 minutes from the airport you can use taxis, or hire a car as there is dedicated car parking at the Apartment Block 30 years ago, when first built, the area used to be noisy, but now it's a quiet residential area with enough shops, cafes banks and bars to provide for all your needs without either being too loud nor too dead! And because the weather is nearly always warm and sunny, everything is always open. It is not a "sophisticated" area and not for those who want museums and galleries, it is ideal for those who want an easy time with plenty of sun. There is a real variety of things to do, walking along the coast is our favourite, it has shops and bars, and restaurants. A day out to Gomera by the ferry from nearby Los Cristianos is interesting. Watersports are also popular. There are nearby waterparks and casinos, supermarkets and bars. The coastline has been developed but cleverly the seafront has been enabling walks along the sea shore.
