Our home

Our "African Home" is a quite special place, situated 7kms out of Port Alfred in a very spacious, well managed and secure farm resort containing 22 privately owned houses. There is a restaurant, a little farm stall, a golf driving range and putting green, a swimming pool and children's playground. On the farm are mainly cattle but also impala, springbock, zebras, ostriches and birds in abundance. The house is very comfortable and quiet, perfect for nature lovers.

Property features

Who we are

  1. We are a married couple with one daughter who left home for her studies. Jörg is retiring this year and I am still working. We love Africa and like to travel. As we cannot use our holiday home very often and would also like to see some other places, specially in Africa, we have decided to try this website. In our home in Germany we have a little extra flat and this is also available for holiday makers on exchange basis.

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

Port Alfred is a unique little town in the Eastern Cape between Port Elizabeth and East London (120 kms from Addo Elephant Park). There are a lot of things one can do: Swimming (blue flag beach), long walks at the beach, there is a golf club and all sorts of sports are possible. There are several private game farms, one can go on boat trips up the Kowie River, and Grahamstown (Art Festival in July) and the Frontier Country are close. There are nice restaurants, some at the beach front and river and a lot of shops for everything one might need.
