Our home

This beautiful home is set in a security estate in the town of Nelspruit, Mpumalanga, only 25km from the Kruger international airport and one hour's drive from the largest and most well known game park in South-Africa, the Kruger National Park.

The 800 sq. meter house itself, is on a hilltop, with a beautiful view of the town and surrounds. It is at the end of a cul-de-sac in a quiet area. The house has all the modern-day facilities including a gym and big screen for watching movies, but still manages to be packed with old world charm. There is 3 double bedrooms, one is en-suite, the other two share a bathroom.

The best part of this house is a large veranda that looks out over the Lowveld where you can relax with a glass of wine, grill some food on the gas cooker and take a dip in the pool after a day of game viewing and sight seeing.

A cleaning lady will come in daily from Monday to Friday.

Who we are

  1. We are a couple in our early forties with two daughters ages 7 and 10.

Jean is a doctor at the local private hospital and Anel helps out with the administration at the medical practice.

The girls love the outdoors, they swim and water-ski and are keen to go and hit some balls at the driving range.

We love the Lowveld lifestyle and we know you will too.

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

Nelspruit is situated in the heart of the beautiful Lowveld, on the banks of the Crocodile river. Nelspruit offers the starting point for many tourist attractions like Elephant-safaris, a Chimpanzee rehabilitation center, bird of prey center, Sky-trails, Sudwala caves, Bourke's luck potholes,God's window, trout fishing, some of the best golf courses in the world e.g. Leopard Creek, smaller game parks, Pilgrims rest (an old gold miner's town), horse riding in the mountain village of Kaapsche Hoop, artists' cafe's and lots more.

The town itself has plenty of lovely restaurants and plenty of shops, movie theaters, games arcades etc. It really is the best of both worlds, you will have all the facilities that you might need but still be only a stones' throw away from all nature has to offer. Nelspruit has a beautiful botanical garden with waterfall and picnic spots. The weather is good year-round with mild winters and warm summers. The best game viewing time is actually in winter when the bush is not so dense and the animals are not hiding from the heat.

The area is full of deli's stocking local products like citrus and tropical fruit, juices and Macadamia nuts. Other supermarkets are easily accessible and fresh products and ready made meals are available everywhere.
