Our home

Our Beautiful cottage is situated in a retirement complex on the Garden Route on the south coast of South Africa.
The accommodation consists of large lounge with smart flat screen TV with internet, Sky TV and U-tube facilities. A second lounge/ study with Wi-Fi. We have a nice dining room leading to a fully fitted kitchen with oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher and a fridge-freezer that dispenses filtered water and ice cubes. Two double bedrooms and two bathrooms, one with washing machine. Outside we have a wrap around balcony overlooking a lake with fish and bird life and beautiful gardens.
Included in our complex are; a full laundry service, gardener,a cleaner and in the restaurant we enjoy ten free meals every month. We also have a swimming pool in the garden.
Local attractions are whale watching, seal colony, game drives, safaris, an elephant sanctuary and horse rescue center are our nearest neighbours. Dining out is top class at very reasonable prices in the numerous restaurants in our area.

Property features

Who we are

  1. We are a non smoking retired business couple in our seventies, but active and always looking for new adventures. We emigrated to South Africa from the UK in the seventies and eventually finished up running businesses in both countries.
When we retired twelve years ago, we settled here on the south coast called
the garden route because of it's rural setting, natural beauty, plentiful wild
life and miles and miles of unspoiled beaches. Not forgetting the very reasonable food and drink prices ; bottle of lager 75p, a nice lunch for two in a good restaurant ten pounds.
I was born in Hungary, but lived in the UK since the late fifties.
My wife Jeanette is English and was born in Yorkshire.
WE enjoy going back to London regularly to see family and old friends.
We are very responsible people and would look after anybodies home as though it was our own.

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

We are situated in a rural area surrounded by natural forests, and yet the towns of Knysna, Plettenberg Bay and the beach is only a short drive away. The larger town, George is just over an hour's drive away and that is where the nearest airport is. I would be able to arrange for someone to pick you up from there and bring you to our home.
For a completely different African experience this could be an exiting holiday.
