Who we are

  1. Nico and Ane Steinberg, still yong and in our fifty's. We own the most beautiful Farm on which we have a 12 bedroom Guesthouse and a old renovated Milk-shed which we have changed into a Wedding Venue, most weekends we do have weddings but Midweek's we normally have many room available. Nico is a pilot and we love to travel together. It is now the time in our life to spread our wings and travel more often.

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

Chrissiesmeer is situated in the LAKE DISTRICT of South Africa with 270 lakes and pans in a 20 km radius. This a very good birding area, and ideal for grass- and wetland lovers. It is also a good first night stop over from OR Thambo airport to Kruger National Park, Swaziland or Kwazulu Natal.

Chrissiesmeer is a small village with a rich history of the Anglo Boer war, and also boast with a short battle of Chrissiesmeer in 1903. Their is also a very interesting Scottish History of the area, explaining all the Scottish farm names around Chrissiesmeer. (see www.chrissiesmeer.co.za)
