Our home

It's a Victorian gem with high ceilings, Oregon pine floors and what they call here "broekie lace" balconies (it means panty lace!), a working woodburning marble fireplace in a double length sitting room with four sofas. There are movable electric oil-filled radiators.
There is a study and a good-sized kitchen plus a dining room (seats 8) downstairs. Up a flight there is a large bath room (bath), and a back bedroom with double bed and en-suite bathroom (bath). Up a half landing three bedrooms with double beds. The main has en-suite shower room plus balcony across front of house. Attic upstairs is carpeted but basically used as storage space.
There is a patio out back, accessed by french windows from kitchen. It has potted plants and a wrought iron dining table and chairs.
The house is reached from the street through a locked wrought iron gate with four steps to a small planted area and a verandah.
There is a security system and attractive wrought iron bars protecting doors and windows.

There are 101 beaches in and around the city.
Scenery is outstanding. Mountain walks are great, but sensible clothing and footwear is needed.
There are diving schools and sailing. There is paragliding, bunjee jumping and abseiling.
Wonderful wineland countryside is a few kilometres away.
Smart shopping and cinemas are at the famous Victoria and Alfred (yes Alfred) Waterfront. Local shops are at a nearby centre.
