Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

Scenic Hout Bay is a lively coastal town with lovely swimming beaches and a picturesque harbour where you can buy fresh fish and the finest fish and chips in Africa.

The pretty town lies in a protected bay between Chapman’s Peak and Mount Sentinel. Apart from its scenic beauty, Hout Bay is well known for its fishing and is the epicentre of Cape Town’s crayfish industry.

Hout Bay residents are passionate about where they live, look out for the tongue-in-cheek “Republic of Hout Bay” bumper stickers on local cars.

Ideally situated as a touring base, Hout Bay is one of the most popular destinations for visitors to our country. There is an open top "Hop on and Hop Off" bus to the city of Cape Town and back, passing through many scenic areas. See more at: http://www.citysightseeing.co.za/
