Our home

Our home is really stunning. Upstairs are a main bedroom (with its en-suite bathroom - shower, basin & toilet), a study, a baby room with a cot and a second bathroom (bath, shower, basin, toilet and bidet). The views are magnificent, especially from the main bedroom which is surrounded by glass windows all the way to the floor.

Downstairs is the living room, dining room and open plan kitchen. The kitchen has all the amenities that you'll need - dish washer, washing machine, microwave, oven, electric stove, extractor fan, toaster, blender, etc.

The balcony is our home's best feature. It's 80 metres square on its own and has the most magnificent views in the whole of Cape Town! Blue sea, green mountains and the most spectacular sunsets 365 days a year. There is a barbecue on the balcony as well as a wooden table for 10 people, sun tanning beds as well as plenty of chairs and sofas to relax with a cocktail in hand.

A maid comes in twice a week to clean up at no extra cost.

NOTE: We have a cat called Roxy (most beautiful cat in the world! :)) that you'd have to cat-sit while you stay here, so if you are allergic to cats, this place won't work for you unfortunately.

Who we are

  1. We are a professional couple in our early 40's who love to travel and explore the world.

I, Huenu, have an outdoor movie theatre which operates for six months in the summer and Dave owns a diesel delivery company. I was born in Argentina but lived all over the world growing up (South Africa, Switzerland, UK, Canada and France) and Dave is originally from Durban and a sports fanatic. We love to travel off the beaten path, adventure trips and meeting new people.

We love home exchange and we've done many exchanges all over the world for the past 10 years (about 20 so far, of which very few feature on this website). We're really easy going, OCD neat, don't smoke or party and we'll be out checking the town almost all the time.

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

We live in Camps Bay, the most beautiful and upmarket suburb of Cape Town which also happens to be 10 minutes away from downtown. Camps Bay is on the slopes of a mountain facing the sea - there is gorgeous green vegetation and deep blue sea views wherever you look. The best way to describe Camps Bay is GORGEOUS. Just google it and see the pics - that's all you'll need to do :)

And as for Cape Town, just ask anyone who's been here and they will tell you it's one of the most beautiful cities in the world! There is nothing that Cape Town lacks. It's got stunning beaches, plenty of mountains (at your doorstep!), loads of sports - just pick whatever you want - great restaurants, endless weekend activities in surrounding cities, etc. You could, for example:
- Hike hundreds of hikes on the mountains literally 5 minutes from home.
- Spend a weekend in the gorgeous colonial town of Franschoek, just 1 hour away by car.
- Go wine routing for the day in Stellenbosch, just 45 mins away (beats Californian wine route any day).
- Surf, kiteboard, kayak, paraglide, skydive, quadbike, sandboard, dive, mountain bike and honestly, any other sport you can think of really.
- Visit really interesting and historic sites like Robben Island (where Mandela was imprisoned for 18 out of his 27 years in jail), the museum of National History, city tours, etc.
- Visit the townships outside of Cape Town - really interesting and an eye-opener.
- Wine and dine and party till you drop!
- Go camping or motorbiking just about anywhere outside of Cape Town.
- Visit game farms where you can see wildlife in its habitat, pet lions, feed elephants and much more.
- Take a flight to Johannesburg, Durban, Port Elizabeth, the Drakensberg mountains, Kruger National Park, Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe, etc. It's not expensive.
- We can go on and on and on - just google :)
