Our home

Our villa is right in the heart of the beautiful mountain resort town of Sinaia -only 90 mins from Bucharest airport. Sinaia is on the main rail line. Villa is modern (built year 2000) 'Alpine style' house and has gas central heating. The house is ideal for two families or for having guests as it has two independent levels, with their own front doors. Each level has a large lounge and kitchen, own bathroom with shower and 2 bedrooms. Both levels have cable TV and telephone.

Who we are

  1. My wife and I have triplets, aged 9. We spent 2 years working in Romania and we have Romanian friends there. We have load of info about the country that we could give you. We could also arrange transfers from the airport if you needed this.

We live in Glasgow, Scotland and we use the house in winter for skiing and in summer for the summer hols - my wife's a teacher, so we spend the whole summer there.

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

Lonely Planet guide says this about Sinaia: "It's not called the Pearl of the Carpathians for nothing. For dizzying, dazzling, wild skiing, you've come to the right place. For breathtaking mountain biking, hillwalking and rock climbing, step right forward". Sinaia was the summer retreat for the King of Romania and is the home of the fabulous Peles Castle. Average temp in summer is 25 to 35 degrees. There are plenty of good, inexpensive restaurants nearby, an old fashioned Casino, internet cafes & nightclubs, plus a local market.
