Our home

We have a wonderful old style Portuguese home. The building is approximately 100 years old. It is a 1st floor apartment of 4 floors with a large veranda on the front. Wooden floors, high old designed ceilings. Lots of light and windows. Modern conveniences. Very comfortable and workable. Close to all transports, about 15 minute walk from downtown Lisboa.

Who we are

  1. We are an international family. I am American by birth and my husband is Portuguese. We have 9 children but only 4 living at home at this point. Our children are all bilingual and bicultural, except two who are adopted and have never had the opportunity to live in the states. We are self-employed and enjoy our work, but our priority is our children. Because I am originally from Oregon, I would like to spend 6-12 months back home to allow our children to experience my heritage and spend some time with family.

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

We live in a very popular neighborhood with all the conveniences you would need. Locally the saying is that you could be born and die in this little area and never have to leave. Of course, if you want to leave you are within 5-10 minutes of transport access to the north and south, which makes it very convenient. There are two large beautiful parks within walking distance where the children, and families all congregate.
