Our home

Our villa is an rare gem in Warsaw. It is spacious (450m2) and recently awarded a price for the renovation and modernisation however keeping with the modernist style of the origins from the 1920s. The villa has an unusually large garden for the city centre with old trees providing shade and a large lawn to relax on, in addition there is also a large roof top terrace for sunbathing or stars watching at night. The villa is located in the relaxed and artistic Saska Kepa district of Warsaw described by New York Times as 'Warsaw’s Leafy, Modernist Charm' full with cafes, restaurants and embassy residences on the right bank of Vistula river but only 2 km from the very centre of Warsaw (EUR 3 Uber ride or a 10 min tram ride) or alternatively on the bikes which are available. We have a cleaning lady twice a week and gardener once a week to maintain the villa for the benefit of our guests. The house is a perfect base to discover Warsaw and come back to relax in the idyllic garden afterwards. In addition, a 2-3h comfortable train ride will take you to either the white sandy beaches on the Baltic Sea near Gdansk in the north or the cultural capital of Krakow in the south just beneath the Tatra mountains. https://www.nytimes.com/2013/12/13/greathomesanddestinations/warsaws-leafy-modernist-charm.html

Who we are

  1. We are a loving couple with two near-teenage children Kaia and Milan

  2. Peter is a fund manager and Magda handles the PR for the National Opera & Ballet and runs a charity for disabled children

  3. We love art, literature and ballet and are also active road cyclists. Our holidays are typically either by the beach, up in the mountains cycling, hiking or ski touring or relaxing by the pool somewhere in the country side.

At home we love to have large dinner parties in our house for friends and as it happens many of them run some of the best restaurants in Warsaw which could be an additional bonus for home sharers as best tables could be organised.

Your neighbourhood

Our villa is on a quiet dead end street in the leafy neighbourhood of Saska Kepa next door to the Colombian Embassy residence, one of the best cake shops in Warsaw and a secret garden cafe known only to the locals. The main street named the 'French street' is a charming boulevard with shops, cafes, delis and restaurants only 5 min walking distance and to go across the river to the very centre of Warsaw is only 2km or EUR 3 with an Uber or a bike path. The airport is 15 min or EUR 6 Uber ride. Few hundred meters away there is the wild beach of the Vistula river good for joggers, cyclists and dog walkers.
