Our home

The house is built in 2006. Two floors: Ground floor consists of kitchen, dining room, living room, hall, WC and a small TV room. 1st floor consists of bedrooms, TV room, bathroom/sauna and balcony. Garden with terrace and barbeque.

We allso have a small cabin available about 20 min by car from the house. Here you can do recreational activitis such as inland fishing, mountain hiking, pick cloudberries (in august), snow mobile safari in winter or just hang out and relax.

The house is warm and cosy, as well as functional. We love it here! Our car, a Subaru Outback, is available if you promise to treat it nicely :)

Who we are

  1. We are a family of 5. We are Jakob and Ann-Kristin, and we both work as advisors in the county administration. Our children are Rikke, Falk and Storm at 12, 5 and 3 years old. We like to travel and want to try this concept instead of the usual hotel..

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

The neighbourhood is very quiet. Families with small children live in the houses around, so the evenings are quiet. Barely any trafic at all. Walking distance to the city centre and ski-tracks behind the house.

The town is situated by the Varanger fjord, which is the biggest fjord in Norway with great fishing opportunities. Our boat can be made available (15 feet open boat with outboard). The Varanger peninsula houses one of the biggest nature preserves in Norway. We also have some of the best rivers for wild salamon fishing in the world. The Varanger area is also famous for bird watching.

In winter you can go ice fishing, cross-country skiing and snowmobile safari in untouched nature.
