Our home

The fjords of Norway has been crowned by National Geographic as "the best unspoiled travel destinations in the world"! Our beautiful small cottage house is central situated in the town of Oslo (the capital of Norway). Oslo central station (city) is a 15 minutes walk from the house, 5 minutes by car or bus. We newly renovated this old house with three floors. Cosy scandinavian country style with white surfaces and old wood. Very charming and beautifully furnished. Main floor: Large livingroom with dining area for six people and TV section with sofa and armchair. New kitchen fully equipped. Small bedroom (now used as a baby room). Downstairs: Master bedroom (kingsize bed 160 cm). Bath room/wash room with bath tub. Storing room. Loft: 1 bedroom and living room. We have a small garden with a large terrace (30 sq m) facing south with sun all day. Barbecue. New teak dining table and six chairs.

Who we are

  1. We are a small family. Linda (swedish), 35 years, communication consultant/coach. Rune (norwegian), 36 years, marketing management consultant. Cornelia, our sweet little girl was born in april 2009. We love travelling and enjoy many outdoor activities as rock climbing, skiing, hiking and kayaking. We are looking for a sunny place to stay at over christmas or summer, for a couple of weeks. A house, close to the beach. It doesn't matter where! We look forward to spend a long nice holiday in the sun, away from all stress... just to chill out and relax. We are also interested in shorter trips to other destinations. Just contact us, whatever you have to offer! Often we can do a non-simultaneous exchange.

Of course we will treat your home as if it was our own and expect you to do the same. We will consider offering you our car during the exchange. Of course we can tell you all about Norway, where to go and what to do. You will love your visit here!

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

Although we live in the city, our house is situated in a quiet area with lots of old houses and green areas. 20 metres from our house is one of Oslos biggest and most beautiful park with woods and green meadows. From here you have a spectacular view of the city and the fjord with the new opera house in center. Information about Oslo (visitoslo.com): Between the Oslo Fjord and the green hills of Oslomarka lies the Norwegian capital. The combination of city life and easy access to outdoor activities (skiing etc.) makes Oslo a unique destination. Oslo is beautifully situated at the head of the Oslo Fjord surrounded by forested ridges, and this very location gives the city qualities you may not expect from a capital. The city offers an abundance of attractions, shopping possibilities and a flourishing cultural life, and a choice of restaurants which is almost unparalleled in Scandinavia. In 2007 Reader's Digest ranked Oslo as number two on a list of the world's greenest, most liveable cities! Information about Norway (visitnorway.com): In Northern Norway, the sun never sets during the summer months. Go on a midnight sun cruise, join a safari or play golf in the middle of the night. Along parts of the coast, the sea penetrates deep into the mountain wilderness and forms the famous fjords. The Geirangerfjord and the Nærøyfjord are on UNESCO's World Heritage List. You find fjords and spectacular landscape only a couple of hours by car from Oslo!
