We have a charming house in quiet, friendly residential area in Nesodden just south of Oslo. The house has kitchen and living room and2 bedrooms and a bathroom on the ground floor, and 2 bedrooms, a small living room and a bathroom on the first floor. We also have a large veranda with a gas barbeque where you can enjoy the afternoons and evenings. Our house is on a common ground with 7 other houses / families, and the area is ideal for children.
We are a family of 5. Petter works full time as product manager and Anne-Ingeborg takes care of children. We have two daughters, Anna aged 15 and Helga aged 13, and a boy, Marius aged 10.
Both our daughters take French at school, so we would prefer an exchange in France, so that they can practice a bit, and we all can enjoy the culture.
We also enjoy Great Britain and Ireland, and the girls would love Italy in summer.
We have never done a home exchange before, but we think that it would be a great opportunity to get closer to the local community and the culture of the country we will be visiting.
The beach is only 5 min walk away, and you can just as easily go hiking in the nearby forest. Our bikes and fishing gear is also at your disposal. The traffic is light, and you can cycle in the woods as well.
There are restaurants, shopping-centers and galleries in the area, and the capital Oslo is only a 25 minute idyllic ferry ride away! The nearest local restaurant is Signalen:

Another nice restaurant is Hellviktangen: http://www.kunstkafeen.no
kilometres away, a good attraction for the children and youths.
Central Oslo is only 25 min by ferry, where you can enjoy the sights and activities of our capital. See the famous opera-house: http://www.oslosurf.com
We also have a cabin along the coast in Aasgaardstrand, where the painter Munch lived, that you can use.
