Who we are

  1. We are David and Pat, of retirement age and would like to see more of the world. David worked as a Public Servant and Pat as a self employed Education Consultant. We ususally spend part of the week in Wellington but go to our country retreat on weekends where we enjoy our large garden and a few sheep. We are however flexible and can easily accommodate non simultaneous exchanges.

We have enjoyed several successful exchanges over the last few years and very much enjoyed them, particularly the opportunities to make new friends.

We have three adult children and seven grandchildren so family commitments mean that we would prefer exchanges of a shortish duration however we are open to suggestions.

Your neighbourhood

Ideally located 3 blocks from the entertainment centre of the city you can walk to theatres, art galleries, museums, swimming pools and the beach. In addition the choice of cafes and restaurants is limitless. From this base you can explore the rural environs, the vineyards of the Wairarapa and the unspoiled coast or travel by ferry to the Malborough Sounds and top of the South Island. Wellington can be explored on foot and we are only 5 minutes from Te Papa our national harbour side museum.
