Our home

Built at the turn of last century, our renovated two story villa is full of character. From the lead-light doorway to the staircase carved from native hardwood, our Kelburn home is snapshot of the period. Most of the living areas are downstairs - with polished wood floors throughout - while upstairs, carpet gives the bedrooms added warmth. Both bathrooms are upstairs, with the welcome benefit of heated tiled floors. An additional separate toilet is downstairs.

We have a very well-appointed kitchen, complete with brand-new appliances.

Although the section is not large, we have three outdoor areas: a terrace at the front; a private groundfloor courtyard at the rear; and a small flat lawn that is level with the top floor.

A balcony runs off one of the bedrooms, which is perfect for catching the very last rays of afternoon sun.

Who we are

  1. Mark and Lee-Anne are in their thirties, professional, with a small daughter. We love entertaining, and have found that our house is perfect for that. Its central location means visiting is easy, while our kitchen and ten-seater table are great for dinner parties.

At present, we're only really looking for a swap to Central Otago NZ. Feel free to post other offers, but please don't be disappointed.

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

Kelburn is one of the suburbs closest to the city of Wellington, New Zealand's capital. Our house is five minutes' walk from Kelburn village, with its cafes, restaurants and shops. It's also a few minutes' walk from Wellington's historic cable car, which transports you into the heart of the CBD after a five minute ride.

The location of our house makes it ideal for anyone who wants to sample the best of Wellington: its restaurants, museums, theatres and nightlife. However, we are only a short trip away from the city's greenbelt, meaning those who seek the great outdoors don't have far to travel. This includes a native bird sanctury, and Wellington's mountainbike park.
