Our home

Waihi Beach Beachhouse, lots of character, completely refurbished recently, new carpet, paint, oven, modernised bathrooms, plenty of room with 5 bedrooms, sunny front deck (has views of the beach and Major island) is great for breakfast, rear deck is for drinks in the afternoon and evening with an outlook to bushclad hills. A two minute stroll to the beautiful safe swimming beach pictured, there is an outside shower for washing the sand off, lots of carparking on site.

  1. Heather (landscape designer) Allan (realtor/property investor) and our youngest son Alex(16)We have three older children who like to come and visit us when we are away overseas. We have exchanged to Germany before, and would prefer France. Italy, Croatia, Greece and other European countries this time. We can also offer an exchange on our main home in Hamilton, email or call us to discuss this option.

Where is it?

Within a 10 minute walk are three cafes, the village has a small supermarket, liquor store, pharmacy. Hardware store, clothing etc. for more shopping, Waihi township is just a 10 min drive, Waihi beach is a quiet beach resort with lots of bush walks leading to secluded quiet beachs where there are very few people, other walks take you to waterfalls in the native bush The area is one of NZs first goldmining areas with interesting remains of eary mining etc. Mt Maunganui is only 50 mins by car which is a beautiful holiday spot, lots of restaurants, cafes, beachs and shopping. Two hours away is NZs largest city Auckland and Hamilton where we live permanently is just an hour and a bit away. If you enjoy surfing, sailing, fishing and cycling this is the place to be. The Coromandel Peninsula is just north with its breathtaking scenery.
