Our home

Our home is a small, comfortable lockwood house that faces north toward an attractive mountain. It has gas central heating, 2 double bedrooms with queen size beds & 1 smaller bedroom which has a single bed, computer & some gym equipment. Our kitchen & bathroom are newly renovated. We have a large garden with a sunny private BBQ area where we love to sit in the afternoons enjoying a glass of wine. Our neighbours are friendly & helpful & our son lives just around the corner to help with anything that might be needed (like feeding our cat). We also have a lawn mowing service.

Property features

Who we are

  1. We are a retired couple who love to travel, we have just completed our first house swap which went very well & are keen to try another. We have 2 adult children, our son has his own house nearby & our daughter is enjoying her life in Brisbane. We are wanting to organise a house swap in 2011 & are hoping that anyone wanting to visit NZ during the Rugby World Cup will be interested. We are hoping to visit Ireland, London & Northern Italy.

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

Our area is the top tourist destination in the North Island because of it's geothermal activity (geysers, mud pools & hot thermal baths), Maori culture & adventure tourism activities (bungy, zorb, 4 wheel driving white water rafting & of course trout fishing plus many more. We have a wonderful forest near by, for walking & mountain biking. Rotorua sits by a lovely lake & there are 12 other lakes in the vacinity. The bus stops at our door for a 10 min. ride to town, to shops cinema & dining. We would be willing to leave a car for your use as there are so many other wonderful places to visit, like the beach 1 hr., ski fields 2 hrs. Napier a beautiful Art deco town & vineyards 3 hrs. Rotorua is very central to many interesting places.
