Our home

This is a lovely, easy to live in character home with two double bedrooms and a smaller room we use as an office, two bathrooms, dining room with kent fire woodbox, lounge with heatpump, main bedroom has an ensuite and ranchslider opening onto deck as does the lounge.
A single garage has internal entry through the laundry.
There is a five or six minute walk to Ngongotaha village which has a local four square store for all your needs including groceries, Indian, Chinese and European takeaways and a restaurant. Short walk to the lake for trout fishing and the boat ramp.
It has a lovely rural outlook although on quite a busy road. We have herded the odd sheep back into the farmers paddock.
I will put some more pictures on of the outside soon.
Fifteen minutes drive to Rotorua township.

Who we are

  1. We are a couple in our early 50's who have just taken a year off to travel New Zealand extensively in our caravan. Our next adventure is travelling to England where I, (Sally) was born but was only three when I left. Jim and I both have many relatives in the UK that we havent met.

We are very excited about Home Exchange, what a wonderful way to experience another country.
Jim is a school teacher and has been teaching children with very high special needs, art and music, he loves the challenge of reaching children through these mediums.
I have worked for the government for the last ten years or so, we both love meeting people and experiencing new things and different cultures.

I paint pictures and Jim loves creating sculptures.
We both love theatre and cant wait to experience London and all it has to offer.
We love the countryside and animals. Neither of us smoke.

This will be our first Home Exchange experience and we will care for your house as we would our own.
