Our home

We offer a sunny and warm three bedroom beach house in one of the most popular surf beaches in NZ. It is within walking distance to the beach, local cafe and eateries. There are two sunny decks both with spectacular views over the beach. It has a modern kitchen and dining area. A separate lounge with a large comfortable couch for you to relax in and enjoy the peace and quiet. There is a barbeque on one of the decks for you to cook whilst enjoying the views and winter sunsets. There are three fruit trees, plums, fejoa and figs all bearing fruit through out the year.

The view from the deck is out across the tree tops to the beach. There are often native birds, tui and wood pigeons flying around feeding of the many native trees, particularly when the Kowhai is in flower around August.

Piha is New Zealand's most famous surf beach. Situated on the west coast of the North Island, 40kmns from the city of Auckland. This black iron sand beach has a reputation for awesome surf which rolls in over the Tasman Sea.

Piha was the birth place of malibu board riding in New Zealand, introduced by two Californian lifeguards in 1956. The first surf boat race held in NZ was at Piha in the 1930's.

Piha is not just surf and sand. With rugged cliffs, the scenery is dramatic and inspiring. The beach is backed by the Waitakere Ranges, a protected parkland of sub-tropical forest, accessible through numerous bush tracks in particular the Hilary Trail.

Piah has a small beach commminity made up of bach owners and residents. The lifestyle is laidback and simple, but there are all the basic amenities for the good life.
