Our home

Our home is comfortable, clean, and spacious. It has a large kitchen with adjoining dining room. We have two lounges one used as a TV room the other for reading. The main living areas are on the first floor to take advantage of the beautiful view of the Ngunguru river estuary and Pacific Ocean. We have a large deck that also overlooks the Ocean and in summer we spend most of our time on this deck. At the back of the house is a lovely cool garden. There is also a smaller “hidden” deck, also on the first floor, at the back with it’s own Scandinavian hot tub. There are 3 bedrooms on the ground floor along with a bathroom and separate lavatory. There is another bathroom on the first floor with a bath and upstairs the main bedroom with an ensuite.

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

Ngunguru is a small seaside village about half an hours drive from Whangarei, which is two hours north of Auckland on the North Island of New Zealand. Our house is situated 20 feet from the beach where the Ngunguru River meets the Pacific Ocean. Our area is a heaven for all water sports including diving, the world famous Poor Knights Islands are very close by, fishing, sailing, boating and swimming. Within half an hour we have some of the best Golf Courses in NZ and the magical Bay of Islands is less than an hour north of us.
