Our home

Our home is a lovingly restored 19th Century 2 storied house situated one block from the city centre. A 20min walk to the beach and a 1min walk from the river.
We have a great outdoor living space with large gardens and outdoor dining facilities along with 2 verhandered areas.
Our house is warm and has a library/office off the living area with an open plan country style kitchen/ Dining area.
The living area is warm and comfortable with all the mod cons, including large TV, Sterio, DVD, and internet.
All the bedrooms are upstairs each bedroom fully redecorated and carpeted and each bedroom has a queen bed.
The master bedroom has a walk in wardrobe and ensuite.
We still have the formal lounge to complete.
Nelson bosts the most sun in New Zealand and has a population of around 30,000 with unlimited cafes, winerys, and artist, it is the gateway to the Able Tasman world renouned for walking and its beauty. Nelson is renouned as a fishing, forestry, and wine growing area, many local potters and artists. The city is surrouned by beautiful hills that drop into the ocean. Lakes, the Malbrough Sounds, and ski fields are all within an hours drive.

Property features

Who we are

  1. My husband and myself have just reached 50 our older children are travelling the world and our youngest is just about ready to fly the nest. We have always owned our own businesses and continue to have interests in property around the city. I have a love of writing and studying Genology therefore my roots are Scotish and I am writing a book about my history. I would like to find a cottage in the country area of the Lothians for at least 3 months so I can write and study, and my husband can fish and play golf. We want to experience Scotland and the culture, and travel as much of the country as we can.

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

Although we live close to the city almost all our neighbours are retired or elderly.
The River across the road is a great place to take a blanket and a book on a sunny day.
One block from the city makes it so easy to walk into town on a sunday morning for Brunch or visit the local market. Our city has a huge choice of great cafes and shopping.
There are many easy around the city, and along the river or up to the center of New Zealand. It is a 4hr drive to Christchurch and stopping off at the thermal pools makes a great break.(Hanmer Springs) or a 45min flight. Wellington our capital is a 30min flight or a great day out on the ferry from Picton.
