Our home

This home is one of the oldest cottages left along a developing beach front Ahuriri area in Napier, with extensive wood panels and floors it suits being at the beach. It is not a large house but fantastic to live in and around. the lounge and kitchen are open plan on one side and 3 bedrooms and bathroom ares on the other. the house faces North and gets sun all day. The veranda at the front looks out to the beach and play ground areas. A small 4 berth camper-van and/or 8 seat passenger van also available.

Property features

Who we are

  1. I teach at a local high school and am very involved in local golf and volleyball clubs. Have traveled the world extensively and still love touring and camping trips. Recently bought a small camper van and now looking forward to seeing more of NZ in that. Bought this house when the beach volleyball courts across the road were in full use and have never regretted it. The house is in a lifestyle area and I use it just for that, a place to come home and relax, where you can walk out the door for more entertainment.

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

Across the road is the only permanent sandy beach in Napier safe for swimming in almost any sea conditions. 2 large children's playgrounds and a cycle pathway extending many km's in each direction are right in front of the house. The Ahuriri area is an old one between the old and new ports it is quickly developing into a modern area with many hotels and motels and has 12+ restaurants and Bars within 400m, while only 1-2km from the downtown art deco areas. it has a reputation as the accommodation and entertainment hub of napier based around the beach, yacht club and fishing clubs, both of these have ramps for launching boats. Being at the beach temperatures are cooler in summer and warmer in winter so very few frosts in winter and there is always something happening.
