Our home

Our cottage is private, roomy and has lovely rural views from all windows. There is a large dining/living room with an excellent wood burner, and off this room, a compact kitchen. The main bedroom is large, gets early morning sun and looks on to the garden. There is a second bedroom with a king single bed. The bathroom has a shower/bath and toilet.
Outside dining area next to the wood-fired pizza oven. Lovely gardens surround the house.
we are a few minutes from Greytown village and several surrounding towns.

Who we are

  1. We are a couple in our late 60s - semi-retired and enjoying developing our hobbies, garden and travel. We have worked in management roles in education and health. We have a self contained studio separate to the cottage and can therefore offer non-simultaneous exchanges. We are happy to pick up and drop off at Wellington Airport if required. We have undertaken several home exchanges to date and we are keen to continue our travels. We respect our own home and will treat yours in the same way.

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

We have two neighbouring houses and our property sits on the border of local farmland. 3 minute drive or 15 minute bike ride to Greytown village with excellent coffee and food / cafes and restaurants. 10 minute drive to Martinborough - producers of excellent white and red wines - in particular Pinot Noir. Cellar door tastings and winery restaurants are plentiful throughout the Wairarapa region
A 1 hour train or car ride to Wellington city will give you access to an abundance of arts, entertainment, museums, parliament, airport etc.
There are good hiking trails in the ranges close by and the eastern coastline is rugged and beautiful.
