Our home is a large 5 bedroom country house with a separate Studio that is fully self contained. The house is well set up for inside/outside living with 6 burner BBQ. Large private courtyard with easy access to swimming pool (gated for safety).
We are a professional couple nearing retirement. We have 2 adult children in London, 1 in Auckland and 1 attending university in Christchurch. We are both fit and still enjoy skiing (our main family sport). We have travelled extensively over the years and are keen to do more. We love Europe, particularly France and have spent several months in the Med crewing on a friend's yacht.
We would love to do another skiing holiday with our family before we get too old to really enjoy it.
We are located just out of Greytown which hosts an array of beautiful boutique shops and cafes. We offer plenty of space, warm hot summers and a huge range of leisure opportunities. We are 1 hour's drive from Wellington (Capital city), which also has some stunning cafes, bars and restaurants as well as Te Papa (National Museum) the Beehive (parliament) and a superb harbour and waterfront.
The Wairarapa region is now recognised as a wine producing region and produces some of the best Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir. Martinborough approx 12km is the town centre for the main appelation. Wine tours are on offer most of the year.
