Who we are

  1. We are a retired couple, with a son living in Maidenhead. We enjoy our bowls, I enjoy my garden, patchwork, reading and looking after my other grandchildren here in New Zealand. Mike tinkers in his garage, and is a very good cook and home handyman.

Our wish is to come to somewhere near Maidenhead so that we can visit our son and his family, especially our new grand-daughter.

Your neighbourhood

We live 25 mins by train from the city of Auckland, lots to see and do here.
Ferry’s go to Waiheke Island and also Tiritirimatengi if you are interested in birds (this is a bird sanctuary for some of our endangered birds). We are a sort drive from Piha beach, karekare and Muriwai (gannet colony here). Our village has a few restaurants, different cultures, a bowling green, library, and is about a 5 min. Drive from our house.
