Our home

Our house is fantastically roomy, with 4 large queen sized bedrooms, 2 toilets. The master bedroom has walk in robe and ensuite. There is a large family bathroom with two extra toilets.

We have all the mod cons. It is a very warm home with all day sun and we have plenty of heating for those winter months, including a heat pump and gas fire.

We have a lockable garage filled with outdoor gear, including road bikes, mountain bikes, surfboards, ski and snowboard gear, and a vespa scooter.

The house has a large, sunny deck, with a large lawn area, as well as a lawn and front verander around the front of the house.
We also have a BBQ area. There is plenty of off street parking.

Just 300m away lies the popular New Brighton beach, only 2 blocks. WE have surfboards and there can be some great surfing there.
There is also some village shops about 1.5kms away which has a supermarket, cafes, takeaways etc.

The city of Christchurch has plenty to do and there are some beautiful walks and fun activities such as cruises in the Lyttelton harbour, ferry rides across to Diamond Harbour, only a 20 minute ferry ride, markets, golf courses, rock climbing etc.

Further afield, but still close, lies the scenic Arthur's Pass, only 1.5 hours drive away, which offers numerous ski fields, tramping or just relaxing. Mount Hutt skifield is less than 2 hours drive to the chairlift.

Nearby are also lakes and many other places to visit in the south island of New Zealand - it is only a 3.5 hour drive to the incredibly scenic west coast of New Zealand, or you could take the transalpine train there instead and make a real trip of it.

It is only a 2 hour drive to Kaikoura where you can go whale watching or partake in many of the splendid activities there.
There is also plenty more - just contact us for ideas.

Property features

Who we are

  1. We are a friendly, executive couple in our 30s and are keen for some exciting adventures!
We have undertaken quite a lot of travel around the world, but there is always more to see and do.
Tim is a Senior Planning Advisor for the New Zealand Transport Agency and Jane is a lawyer working in the field of resource management and local government for a large south island law firm.
We both thoroughly enjoy spending time in the outdoors, and we do a lot of skiing, snow boarding and tramping and think Christchurch is a great place to experience these activities within close proximity.
We look forward to meeting you.
    Jane and Tim.
