Who we are

  1. English-born, 40+ years in New Zealand, nearing retirement from jointly owned small business. My wife Viola is Polish and she originally qualified as a doctor, but no longer practices medicine. We both have adult children from previous marriages. We love holidaying in Europe, particularly Italy, England and France. Viola's parents still live near Gdansk.

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

Our home is in a quiet, tree-lined no exit street with a small private primary school and Catholic Church at one end. We are in a mature suburb of mainly older homes, handy to buses and motorways into and out of the City. A good range of cafes, restaurants and a cinema within easy walking distance. Auckland's best shopping (Newmarket)is a 5 minute drive or 10 minute bus ride away. Central city is 10-15 minutes drive or 20 minutes by bus. The house is a short walk from a large park for walking or jogging with an accessible (extinct) volcanic cone for sweeping views of Auckland. See map - Cornwall Park/One Tree Hill.
