Our home

We have a large home situated in a lovely suburb of Auckland. Upstairs there are four bedrooms and a bathroom. The main double bedroom and two single bedrooms have balconies. Downstairs is the kitchen and dining areas, and two lounge areas (one of which can be used as a bedroom as it has a fold-out couch/bed). There is also a study with computer and another smaller bathroom. Outside there is a swimming pool and deck which is a great place to have BBQ's in the summer.

Who we are

  1. We are a couple in our 50's who love to travel. Graham is an engineer and Ana is a librarian in central Auckland. We have a 21 yr old daughter Rita who is a student. We are travelling to the States in November to visit some relatives in Virginia. We will also be spending a couple of weeks in New York. We would love to find an exchange home/apartment in NYC (preferably in Manhattan).

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

We live at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac in Glendowie. It is a lovely suburb and a 10 minute walk to the beach. It is located in the eastern suburbs of Auckland, and about a 15 minute drive to the CBD. We are very close to Mission Bay; a beach with some great restaurants, pizza parlours and bars. There are bus stops and a train station nearby.
Auckland is the biggest city of New Zealand, nicknamed "the City of Sails". It is a vibrant city with good nightlife, restaurants & cafes, art galleries, museums and outdoor activities. It is a humid city with mild temperatures. Some websites you may like to visit are: www.aucklandnz.com and www.aucklandcity.govt.nz/whatson/
