Our home

This newly constructed solid timber chalet is spacious (75m2) and cosy. It is fully self contained with a well-equipped kitchen and a private bathroom. There is an open plan kitchen/dining/lounge area with a rural outlook. One bedroom has a queen bed and the other bedroom can either be set up with a king bed or a pair of king single beds. A private patio with outdoor furniture and a BBQ. make this a great place for relaxing. Take a stroll in the expansive garden or a dip in the outdoor spa pool or swimming pool during the warmer months. The chalet is in a semi rural setting on our 5 hectare property.

Who we are

  1. We are Deirdre and Graeme, in our early 60s. We operate 6 accommodation chalets and grow cherries and raspberries on our 5ha property. We are offering one chalet for exchange so the exchange dates could be non-simultaneous. We enjoy travelling and living as the locals do and are open minded about where we would like to holiday.

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

We are situated just 2km from the town of Alexandra in the region of Central Otago, which is one of the most scenic areas of New Zealand. We are surrounded by low mountain ranges, and rivers with many vineyards nearby. We are 1 hour away from the tourist towns of Queenstown and Wanaka but if you wish to avoid crowds there is much to do in our location. Fishing, swimming, boating, wine tasting, mountainbiking, golf, hiking, ice skating are just some example activities, or just visiting the many little historic townships in our area. The summer climate is hot and dry, while in winter it is mainly sunny and cool with frosts.
