Welcome to our spacious apartment with a great river view in the centre of Rotterdam.
Beautiful apartment on the ground - and first floor, 175M², situated on an island right in the middle of Rotterdam. All sorts of public transport a stone’s throw away, including water taxis. Restaurants, museums and all entertainment a city provides for, is on walking- or cycling-distance. A huge food, non food and bric-a-brac market is held twice a week just across the bridge. Day and night you can watch the ships pass by from every window of the house on both floors. If the weather allows you can either catch the sun on the bench in front of the house or in the shared central garden.

Who we are

  1. We, Els and Frits, enjoy cycling, walking, going out to the cinema, concerts and a pub every now and then. We like both cities and rural villages and above all, the seaside. Frits is an independent content developer specializing in maritime culture. Els owns a small organic and vegetarian catering company, www.gheestigewillem.nl and another even smaller company ; www.travlegs.com
The best time for us to exchange houses is during school- and bank holidays. We're in for weekend swaps as well.

New York Times and Rough Guide have both placed Rotterdam in the top ten places you ought to visit.

www.nytimes.com/interactive/2014/01/10/travel/2014-places-to-go.html

Noordereiland is a beautiful island with a mix of modern and historic buildings. There are two bridges leading to the north bank (city centre) and the southern part of Rotterdam. There is a small park, an Italian restaurant, a gallery or two and a few traditional barge men pubs.
For daily shopping two local supermarkets are on walking distance.
It takes 30 minutes by train to travel to Rotterdam from mayor Airport Schiphol, but there's also Rotterdam airport with flights to more than 40 destinations.
