Who we are

  1. We are Mirjam, art historian and museum curator in Amsterdam and Micha, architect in Amsterdam. We have three children Tamar (19), Shulamit (18) and Milo (17).

  2. We enjoy travelling, love nature, culture and the arts, cooking and good company of friends.

  3. We exchange our home for many years via this website and via friends since we love the concept of feeling 'at home' abroad.

For the end of this year we look for a nice exchange with f.e. a home in Paris, Rome or surprise us! NB: preferably no home with cats due to allergy.

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

Ideally located in the heart of the old and vibrant town of Haarlem with markets, canals, museums, nice shops, restaurants, great film- and theatre houses. Though our house is peaceful and quiet. A great location for strolling around in the old city, enjoy a breakfast in the coffee places around and see the old master paintings in the Frans Hals Museum or a great visit to the Teylers Museum, all on walking distance.

The house is a 10 minutes walk from the old Haarlem station with continuous trains to Amsterdam (20 minutes). Around our house are nice shops, museums, markets, parks, lovely children's playground and on a short bicycle ride there is protected nature (with a lovely dunelake for a swim or picknick), flowing over in the dunes and the beach.

On an easy and nice bicycle ride, the amazing protected nature area starts, with a lovely dune lake (het Wed) with beach at 4 km, all the way to the sea and the trendy beaches of Bloemendaal aan Zee (8km) (beach takes 30 minutes by bicycle, 20 minutes by bus).

There is a direct fast bus between Haarlem Station and Schiphol airport.
