Our home

Our house is a small Convent. It was build in 1907, so 2007 will be its 100th year birthday. We started living in our house, in Oosterbeek, in the Bernulphus convent in 1991. All has been renovated and we are very happy with all the space and the beautiful and quite surroundings. The house also has a chapel that we use for larger groups (training). The garden is relativily small (200 M3) for Oosterbeek, but secluded. The top floor is used as an artist workplace. A lot of light and space to work.

Who we are

  1. We are a family of 4. Frans is founder of a software firm with its focus on environment, health and safety and quality. Roelinde works as an artist. Etching, but also jewellery are her specialities. (www.roelindeboot.nl) Our two children are Gloria (17) and Juan (15). They love to play, bike, play football and like to look after out cat speedy. We are a family that likes to live in a small town with lots of nature in the neigbourhoud, but a city with museums and shopping is also OK. We have been swapping with friends, family and lots of others. We like to keep our own house clean. The garden needs extra care in the summer and of course we would look after your house in the same way.

Your neighbourhood

Oosterbeek is famous because of the "Second World War - Market Garden Operation". A lot of history in a small town of 10000 people. The surroundings are varied. the Veluwe (a very large nature reserve), Kroller Muller Museum (van Gogh), but also the most beautiful bicking of the Netherlands. Walking is great and starts within 300 meters of our home. Oosterbeek has a small shopping area, but Arnhem is 5 KM and has lots of options for shopping, museums, fun etc. Oosterbeek has very good bus connections to Arnhem (10 minutes). From Arnhem to Amsterdam by train in 1 hour (direct).
