Our home

The house is situated near the Centre of the oldest town in The Netherland (Nijmegen). It's a comfortable terraced house (1920) with three storeys. A big sunroom is overlooking the sheltered garden (depth 20 mr.) that is situated on the sunny side. There's a big shed in the back of he garden with four bicycles.
We have a mexican fireplace in the garden and garden furniture.
We have two cats.

Property features

Who we are

  1. We, Paul and Yvonne, are married and have two grown up children. We are in the early fourties.
My wifes is working in Foster care, and I'm working at the University as Manager and teacher in Nijmegen.
We don't have any experience in house exchange yet.
We want to go to Australie, because our eldest son is travelling there for a year. We would like to spend some time with him and fortunately he likes it too. It would also be the first major trip for our youngest son who is thirteen.

Your neighbourhood

Nijmegen is situated in one of he nicest areas in Holland.
It's surrounded by rivers, forests and traditional polders. There are many small pitoresque villages in the surrounding so it's an ideal area for cycling. It's only ten kilometres from the German border.
We live 200 metres from the largest city park with public swimmingpool, Children farm, skate facilities etc. It's the starting point for air balloons.
Nijmegen is famous for the Four Days Marches during the third week of July. This international March is te biggest in Europe and attracts yearly around a milion visitors. In this week here are many festivities in the whole city.
