Our home

We have a special nice dykhouse. It is an old house and we rebuilt and modernised it fourthy years ago. Inside the kitchen and livingroom are renewed ten year ago. It is four floors high. Behind the house is a glashouse, a balcony and a garden. In the back of the garden, you will find the wetlands, where fisching and canoeing are possible. There are also two canoes. When you are on the fourth floor of the house, on the balcony, you have a great view over the wetlands and the famous windmills of our little village Kinderdijk.

Your neighbourhood

We live in a quiet little village called Kinderdijk. You can find the greatest collection of the Nederlands windmills (19) so to speak "in our backyard". The distance to the big harbourcity Rotterdam is 20 km and the nice old city of Dordrecht lays 15 km away. You can visit them by car, bus or by ferry. In the neighbourhood you can bike along te windmills, the beautyful nature with many waterbirds and little old villages.
