Our home

We offer our 1930's apartment in the city of The Hague. It has an old style but is equiped with modern compliances for your convenience.

The livingroom is long and narrow, sitting area and dining area are divided by stained glass doors. The sitting area has a comfortable couch and tv with dvd player and wireless internet in the whole appartment. The dining room has a round dining table with 4 chairs. In this area there's also two beds. There is one bedroom with a double bed. The kitchen is small and narrow but offers everything you need: fridge, freezer, stove and oven, microwave, dishwasher, washer and dryer. The toilet and shower are combined in one. (1930's homes weren't build with a bathroom) In the back bedroom is a sink and some closets. The little balcony is accessible through the kitchen and back bedroom.
Our cats Bowser and Yoshi live indoors and will be here when you visit.

Who we are

  1. I'm José, my workfield is urban planning and I'm interested in interiorstyling, baking, shopping and movies. I change my home decor a lot, so it might look a bit different than in the photos.

I have one bike, that will help you around town and to the trainstations. Public transportation in the Netherlands is pretty good.
My cats are friendly but not clingy at all - just let them be, haha. They only need fresh water and cat food each day.
My home is clean and we will look after your home the same way.
My friends live in the same neighbourhood, some literally around the corner. They are willing to help you out when needed.

I'm interested in (long) weekends in Europe and longer stays (several weeks, not months) literally around the world. Please send me your requests. I have exchanged five times before, please see the recommendations.

Message us with your plans! :)

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

The city of The Hague offers a lot: culture, theater, shopping, dining and the beach (at Scheveningen). http://www.denhaag.nl/en/visitors.htm

Our neighbourhood is called 'Bezuidenhout-Oost'. It's 10 minutes from the city centre by bike/tram/bus. The beach of Scheveningen is about 20 minutes by bike or bus.(By car is not recommended with warm weather due to traffic!)

A shoppingstreet called Theresiatraat is around the corner and offers supermarkets, shops and some restaurants. Within a 5 minute walk there is a nice park where they allow you to barbeque.
An indoorpool and gym are also within 5 minute reach.

The nearest trainstations are Den Haag Laan van NOI and Den Haag Central. Both 15 minute walk. (5 minutes on bike, also reachable by bus or tram)

Amsterdam by train: 40 minutes
