Our home

Our stone house was built in 1907 in the middle of the transition of neo-classical to art-deco styles. We restored it from top to bottom in 1997. For Dutch standards, it is huge. Five bedrooms, library, study, living, fully furnished separate guest house, two kitchens, et cetera. It is modestly decorated and furnished because it is a children's house (we have two young kids) and we have two cats and a dog. We just built an enormous tree house with swings, climbing options, a real children's paradise!
It is one of the most beautiful private houses in our country, we believe.

Who we are

  1. We are a family of four, two adults and two kids (Mooni of 9 and Moos of 11). We are both wellknown ad well-read novelists. We also publish in newspapers and magazines and are regular guests in tv-talkshows here in Holland and Germany. We live and work at home - which means: our house is not a museum but a lively environment with thousands of books. During the summer we spend our days outside, having our meals on one of the terraces, working and reading in the shade of an umbrella...
