Our home

Our house has a large living that occupies one full floor, exluding hallway and toilet. In the back, facing the garden is a desk, library and (reading) couch. Wooden floor. In the basement there is a pretty large kitchen with a ten seat oak dining table. We spend a lot of time in the kitchen. In the front of the basement there are a washing machine, dryer, tools and misc.
The first floor has a master bedroom on the garden side, a bathroom with bath. A bathroom with shower and toilet, a spacious bedroom in the front and a very small, one bed-bedroom adjoining. The topfloor is mainly a photostudio/computerroom, in the front is our sons room that has a desk and a bed and two windows.

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

Our house was built in 1905, it's in the Eastern part of town, that used to consist of adjoining villages a century ago. It is a very quiet neighborhood with very little through-traffic, there's is a garden in the rear. We're close to a shopping street and a two supermarkets and a three minute walk from the tramstop. The tram takes you to midtown in about 15 minutes. We do most of our travelling within Amsterdam by bicycle.
