Your neighbourhood

We live in a family oriented neighbourhood called Watergraafsmeer, one of the most popular neighbourhoods in Amsterdam. The Watergraafsmeer is in the city, but also at 15 minutes by bike from the Dutch countryside and famous polders. Supermarkets en other shops within 5 minutes walking distance. Two parks also within walking distance. Children play on the square, there are large sidewalks and enough parking space (paid). Trams and buses to the city center are within a 5 minute walk. Alternatively, you can use our 2 bicycles for a 15 minutes ride to the city center. There are 4 bicycles. There are shops, cafe's and restaurants within walking distance. Two swimmingpools (outdoor and indoor) at 5 minute by bike. Two trainstations are close and give access to a fast and good country wide railroad system. Amsterdam offers a lot to tourists and the North Sea beaches are a 45 min drive by car or train. Day trips to other Dutch places like Haarlem, Leiden, Utrecht, Den Haag and Rotterdam are interesting and easy. And Amsterdam is surrounded by a lot of green with endless possibilities to cycle for hours from village to village. There is a children playground one block away as well as a children's farm. Two blocks away is a tennis park with 3 courts.
