Our home

Our apartment is light, spacious and very comfortable. All modcons, original art on the walls, 2 pc's with ADSL, digital TV/plasma screen. Lots of DVD's, English books, maps, guides and so on. Also lovely well behaved cat that needs cuddles but is very easy. Cleaning lady comes in every week.

Property features

Who we are

  1. We are 65+. My husband is retired, was communications officer for local government. I am still working as a communications consultant (own company). We love exchanges as they are so much more interesting, exciting (to get to know new people) and comfortable than staying in hotels. We also like the feeling that our apartment is being enjoyed by other people and that Nukkie, our cat, gets his daily dose of cuddles. We are interested in a 3 or 4 week exchange in the late summer / beginning autumn of 2014 in Oregon or Washington.

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

This is a relatively newly developed neighbourhood in an old docklands area. The neighbourhood is now subject to many visits of architects and so on as it is really an example of architecture. Shopping centre at walking distance. Good and more simple restaurants closeby. Central Station 10 minutes by bus. We have a car, but would recommend not to use it in the city and environs as public transport is excellent and parking problematic.
