Who we are

  1. I am Karin(49), I work as a free-lance actress and voice over, my husband Eddy(58) works as a headmaster of the Amsterdam Theatre school of Arts and we have two children who both study so they dont live at home anymore and wont travel with us.We have a cat, she is 10 years old and very easy to maintain. We are experienced homeexchangers, we discovered this lovely way of travelling 10 years ago and since then we went to Rome, Paris,Nice,San Francisco,Venice and Barcelona. We had great experiences, we met very friendly people,'live'and through e mail. Of course we will treat your house and belongings with care and respect, the same as we expect from our guests.

Your neighbourhood

A dikehouse with garden, attached to an old pasture with sheep and cows in the northern part of Amsterdam. It looks like a village here, but you have acces to the centre of Amsterdam in 10 minutes by car or bus or 20 minutes biking. We have our own car park and bikes. There is a bus stop nearbye, a tennis court on the other side of the street, a beautiful biking and canoeing area within 15 min. The coast with sandy beaches like Zandvoort, Bloemendaal and IJmuiden are half an hour driving, as well as the peninsula Marken and Volendam.
You can reach the centre of Amsterdam in 20min. biking, crossing the river IJ, taking the ferry behind the central station , which is a nice experience. The ferry has a 24 hour schedule and is for free.
