Our home

My apartment is very large,(2 floors) comfortable and cosy in the centre of Amsterdam, yet very quiet. One big living-room, with a luxury open kitchen, and a large garden with a terrace. Upstairs one big bedroom with a double bed, and one room with a single bed. It is one of 18 appartments on the groundfloor in a 17th century warehouse, used in the golden age to store spices, tobacco etc., imported from the East Indies. The area is very safe and there is hardly any traffic. Bikes are available.

Property features

Who we are

  1. My name is Hannie van der Willigen; I am a widow with 3 children en 4 step-children of my late husband. Before retired I have been working as a fundraiser for a non profit organisation. My late husband was a technical engineer, and during his carreer has been working as a organizer advisor. We have been living in our apartment since 1987, and I have no intention to leave, because the environs is so special and perfect. My interests are babysitting my little grandson once a week, reading, hiking, tennis, bridge and counseling people (refugees) with their studies at Dutch colleges and university.
