Our home

We offer a small but beautiful apartment 10 minutes of the center of Amsterdam. We have 1 bedroom with a double bed. There is one living room (with a couch which can be changed into a double bed), one study (with a sofa where 2 people can sleep), and a small simple kitchen. Very unusual for Amsterdam: I have a garden. It's not a typical Amsterdam apartment, because it is clean and quite.

***To give an impression of distance: The long 'Central Park' of Amsterdam that we call The Vondelpark (you see on the picture of the citymap) has 3 tramstops.

Property features

Who we are

  1. We are Hester (40), Liesbeth (39) and Tinka (41) and we are friends since our years on the Academy of Arts. We are all professionals (shoe-designer, art-director and painter/musician) We enjoy travelling to a city once a year, when able to get away of our beloved and children. We have not done a home exchange before but are keen to try what sounds a great way to see another city as a resident - and allow someone to see yours. We would expect to arrange an exchange some way in advance in order to get to know our fellow exchangers via email first to see how best we can facilitate their stay in Amsterdam.

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

Situated in a quite and clean area with a small grocery on the corner and tramstops in 3 minutes walking, inbetween the beautiful Vondelpark and the Rembrandpark. The Leidseplein is 5 tramstops away (10 minutes) and the Musea-area is also 10 minutes by tram. Many car-rentals are in the neigbourhood an our house is very close to the Ring to Zaandam and Marken, where the windmills and wooden shoes can be seen. Amsterdam is a small village according to 'New Amsterdam', but has a few really fine restaurants and many hip and fusion cooking restaurants. There are lots of places with music and entertainment for all interests and preferences in the evening. Our coffeshops DO serve coffee too but are not situated in my area. Our famous red-light district is nearby Dam-Square and my tram does stop there too (12th stop) so you do not have to make a step-over.
I'll leave all information you like to find in Amsterdam.
