Our home

Stay in our family compound which some have said is the "most beautiful" in Oaxaca. Five minutes from Oaxaca's famous city center, poineers in the "back to "movement exchange their family home which has been featured the the books "Living with Folk Art" and "Mexicolor". Stroll through terraced gardens, enjoy the fish pond, stargazing from upper balconies. Relax by the heated pool and be pampered by our kindly staff in this enchanting retreat with distinctive vernacular design.

Who we are

  1. Guillermo and I came to reside in Oaxaca as young newley weds in 1965 when Oaxaca was a sleepy quiet town. Now it is the center of the nations most important artist and enviornmental movements. We have been an intergral part of this along with our 3 children. We feel priviliged to be able to call magical Oaxaca our home but are feeling a desire to experience other beautiful places. Guillermo is an art dealer and developer and I have been involved in environmental and women's movements over the years. We have 3 grown children, an artist, an anthropoligist and entrepreneur. 2 beautiful grandaughters and all of us are called by the song of far away places.

Come to Oaxaca, one of the most visited cities in the world. Located in Southren Mexico. Among it's attractions are the 16 ethnic groups still practicing their pre-Hispanic languages, culture, cuisine and traditions and it's colonial and pre columbian sites. For this reason it was chosen in 1987 as one of UNESCO's World Heritage sites.
