Our home

The home is one of three that make up the rural structure. It is on two floors, with sleeping quarters on the first floor, and the kitchen, washroom and lounge on the ground floor.

It includes a large veranda in which we usually enjoy our meals. It has a washing machine and dishwasher, and a relatively large garden with ample barbeque space and a small raised pool.

Being part of a rural condominium, one is never really isolated there.

You will need to rent a car during your stay.

Property features

Who we are

  1. We are a family of four: two adults with two young daughters. The husband is the managing partner of a small management consulting firm, and often works for the UN. The wife is a management consultant working for a large international consultancy. The daughters are aged 11 and 9.

We are pet friendly (we have a dog, and a horse - the latter is stabled a half-kilometer from the country house). You won't have to take care of them!! But if you have one of your own, it too is welcome.

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

The property is situated in a green valley surrounded by woodlands just North of Rome. It is close to Trevignano Romano, a lovely town on lake Bracciano. Although only a one hour drive, door-to-door, from the centre of Rome, and about forty minutes from the sea, it is in an area famous for the beauty of its countryside, its horses, and its Etruscan historical sites.

Viterbo, the residence of medieval Popes; Sutri, a fortified town who's history dates back to the Etruscans; Lago di Martignano, a beautiful secluded lake where one can swim and eat; Tolfa, in the heart of Italy's Maremma region (where the Butteri - cowboys - of old still ply their trade) are only some of the many attractions close by.

It is ideal for a family wanting to visit Rome on a day-trip or two, but who also wants to explore the many attractions, cultural and natural, available in the area.

The geographical coordinates (if you want to Google it) are: 42°11'2.25"N, 12°13'21.03"E
