Our home

From more than 200 years, Villa Fausta is a landmark in the hilly landscape of Castegnero, between tall cypresses, vines, olive and cherry trees. It is also considered the center of many village events, as it was towards the end of the nineteenth century its first elementary school, then in the 70's the rowdy tavern 'Da Sandro' and later the silent bourgeois mansion of a Marshal.

Saved from ruin after a successful restoration, Villa Fausta is now the art studio of Emilio Casarotto, terracotta modeler. That's the reason why today numerous anthropomorphic sculptures are lounging inside, and into the garden rare inorganic plant species appear suddenly.

Who we are

  1. Here we are, Alfio and Emilio. We love rural life but... sometime too much a quiet life! We are not great traveller, just visited some European Capitals. We are going now to plan a 10 days vacation in New York City in 2016, may be September.

Your neighbourhood

Vicenza, town of Palladio, lies at the heart of Veneto: within a radius of 35 km you can visit other cities of art, as Padova, or medieval walled cities as Montagnana, or Abano Terme and its thermal spa. Venice and Verona are less than an hour by train. By bike you can reach many Villas, as the very famous 'la Rotonda' by Palladio.

Nestled in the hills, Villa Fausta is the ideal place for lovers of cycling, mtb, climbing and trekking, both on the Colli Berici and Colli Euganei. And the fun is multiplied by two even for golf lovers: have two golf courses fully equipped. In cooperation with 'Berici Life and Sport' Association you can experience para-gliding and trekking with donkeys. Ask for more infos. Ready, steady, go!
