Our home

I offer a large and beautiful apartment in downtown Torino.
1 bedroom with a double bed, 1 large living room (with a sofabed where 2 people can sleep and cableTV), 1 study and a kitchen for your Italian-style meals. Bathroom with shower and tub.
It's a classy late 19th century apartment with wooden or venetian mosaic floor, 4th floor, lots of light and windows facing the avenue and the nice, clean backyard.
There is an on-site concierge (speaking Italian and Spanish, no English...sorry).

Who we are

  1. I am an academic in my late 30s, single and I don't smoke. History professor with a research focus on the US, I plan to work in archives in the NYC area sometime during summer 07, therefore NYC is my primary destination.
I am originally from Piedmont and can advise on how to explore Turin and its surroundings: the Alps, the wine paradise of Langhe etc.

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

The apartment is located in the city center in a very safe area, relatively busy during the day, very quiet at night. Porta Susa train station within walking distance (very convenient for short trips to Milan/Venice, Lyon/Paris, Geneva, Genoa/Nice and the Riviera, Florence/Tuscany, Bardonecchia/2006 Olympics venues).
Piazza Castello, Museo Egizio and the beauties of the "centro storico" can be reached in a few minutes strolling under the refreshing Turinese arcades.
Excellent specialties stores around the corner.
