Our home

Vocabolo Soriano is a typical umbrian country-house, built in 1772 and located on a hill in an open valley surrounded by 360° green... for those who wish close contact to nature, love the adventure to take country roads and enjoy relax and contemplation.

The apartment 'Tramonto' (sleeps 2-4) at the ground floor comprises a living-room, 28 sqm, furnished with flair and taste, with a piano and two glass-doors that open to the garden; equipped kitchen with glass-door to the terrace, two bed-rooms of 11 sqm, each with its own bath-room with shower, one opens to the garden. Radio and CD-player.

The apartment 'Le Rose' (sleeps 2-4) is situated at the ground floor: bedroom with glass-doors to the garden; a spacious livingroom, glass-door that opens to the garden, fully equipped kitchen corner and a double-bed sofa; wardrobe room + bathroom with shower.
The garden offers lots of space for everybody, a barn and two horses, a natural pond.
We live on the first floor of the house and easily consider non contemporary swap.

Villa Acquamarina (4-5 sleeps)in SABAUDIA has a beautiful garden and offers shadow under the big corktree and the meditarranean aromas of the jasmine, bougainvilleas and bignonia. Living room with fireplace, dining room, kitchen and bathroom at the ground floor. Upstairs two bed rooms with glass doors to the balcony, 2 bathrooms and study with guest's bed. Balcony.

Who we are

  1. Claudio(55), italian and Beatrice (46), german, biologist and graphic designer think about picking up travelling since our girls are grown up and independent... Charlotta (21) is studying interior design in London and working at Conran's (South Kensington), Sophie (19) will start working in August as a sous-chef at Red Carnations Hotel Restaurant close to the British Museum and we would love to visit them once in a while (long weekend).
We imagine exchange homes to be a much better way to get in touch with a different culture, country and people and we would make sure that you feel comfortable and at home in our house and neighbourhood and we will take care of your home even better than our own.

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

This place is an invitation to explore nature at its best: wild but lovely, close to culture.
Neighbour to wild-boar, hawks, fox and badger.
Here you can take a deep breath at any time, enjoy the mystery of natural light, observe the vault of heaven and never get bored.
The little medieaval village DOGLIO is at 3 km distance, with the Paola's bar who prepares fresh 'cornetti' every morning, a very well provided grocery, car mechanics and the church. There are fine restaurants and swimming-pool at 2,5 km. Horse-riding in the area. 7 km to MONTECASTELLO di Vibio with its 'littlest theatre in the world', 12 km TODI, 30 km Orvieto, 45 km Perugia.

SABAUDIA (100 km south of Rome) at the seaside is a new and fascinating town encircled by unaffected natural attractions, breath taking views and numerous mediterrean green areas. The coastal dunes, 23 km of exceptionally rich vegetation, are part of the Circeo National Park. Sabaudia is a peculiar and singular example of a succesful cohabitation of nature and built landscape. The most remarkable and astounding aspect of the town of Sabaudia is, most certainly, its architecture and the composition of its urban spaces: its uniformily rectangulare squares, the simplicity and linearity of the architectual configuration; reminiscent of the rationalism movement of the thirties.
